Overview

Technical evidence made legible at the right scale

This working collection brings together GIS-supported terrain studies, annotated aerial imagery, planning diagrams and three-dimensional visual material, the technical toolkit behind the other studies in this portfolio.

Challenge

Technical source material becomes useful only when scale, hierarchy and uncertainty can be read quickly by the people making or reviewing a decision. Most GIS output is not designed for that reader.

Role

We completed the spatial research, GIS-supported mapping, diagram design and presentation design.

Approach
  1. Start with the question the visual needs to answer
  2. Choose the geographic scale and hierarchy that answers it
  3. Combine spatial evidence with concise and honest annotation
  4. Refine the material for specialist and non-specialist readers
Outputs
  • Terrain studies
  • Annotated aerial imagery
  • Context maps
  • Planning and presentation diagrams
What This Demonstrates
  • Working GIS and spatial-analysis capability
  • Raw technical data translated for boards, funders and public audiences
  • A visual and analytical foundation for planning and infrastructure work
Where This Applies

Bring this capability to a live brief.

Projects involving terrain, elevation, context or feasibility often need technical evidence translated for decision-makers rather than GIS specialists. We make that evidence readable without stripping away its analytical logic.
